JULY 15, 2026 | 1 PM ET
Affordable housing policy is at a pivotal moment — and what happens in DC next will shape the future of the credit.
During this interactive discussion, Emily Cadik, CEO of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, will provide an inside look at the legislative landscape and what's ahead for LIHTC:
-
The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act: What it means for affordable housing — lifting the public welfare investment cap, streamlining and expanding HUD programs, a ban on institutional investors buying single-family homes, and more.
-
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act and LIHTC: The permanent 12% increase in 9% credit allocations, the reduction of the bond financing threshold from 50% to 25%, and what these changes signal for the future of affordable housing investment.
-
Strengthening and Expanding the Credit in DC: The policy priorities AHTCC and its partners are advancing, including the Affordable Housing Credit Carryback Act and other policies aiming to drive demand and broaden the impact of LIHTC.
-
The 2026 Midterms and Tax Credit Policy: How different election outcomes could shape the path forward for affordable housing credits, which provisions are politically durable, and where the opportunities lie heading into the next Congress.
